Engineering Biology in Cambridge

 

We are seeking a creative and motivated Research Assistant/Associate to join Dr Somenath Bakshi's research group in the Department of Engineering. The project involves genetic engineering of control circuits and testing their performance using a cutting-edge microfluidic-microscopic platform developed in the Bakshi lab (https://www.bakshilab.net/). 

The role involves designing and constructing genetic control circuits, validating them using various techniques, and then learning the imaging and image-analysis pipelines of Bakshi lab to characterise their dynamics in individual cells and explore their role on cell health. The successful applicant will be expected to attend local seminars/events, journal clubs, and other group-related activities and publish research in journals and conferences.
