PhD Student
Wellcome Sanger Institute
Biography
I did my undergraduate at the University of Edinburgh where I did a 8 month internship as the lab lead of the 2023 Edinburgh iGEM team. I then did my undergraduate project with Prof. Louise Horsfall and continued in the lab as a research assistant. I then joined the Typas group at EMBL Heidelberg as a visiting researcher for 6 months. Currently, I am a PhD student at the Wellcome Sanger institute and the University of Cambridge.
Research
I am interested in bacterial and mammalian synthetic genomics, especially took development to engineer the genome at a massive scale and speed. I also find other engineering biology approaches very interesting whether using bacteria to make metal nanoparticles or designing synthetic antibodies targeting different diseases, etc.
