The EngBio IRC is headed by a Leadership Team of two academic co-chairs, a coordinator and assistant. Guidance is provided by a Steering Committee and Advisory Board. A series of subcommittees and working groups support our activities.

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee advise the IRC Leadership Team on all aspects of the programme, policy, activities and future directions of the IRC. They also ensure that all communities comprising the Engineering Biology IRC are properly represented and informed.

Strategy Board
The IRC Strategy Board works with the IRC Co-Chairs and Coordinator to further develop and implement IRC Strategy including programmes, policies, activities and future directions.
Early Career Researcher Committee
The EngBio IRC Early Career Researcher (ECR) Committee aims to support early career researchers working on engineering biology at Cambridge. We support postdocs, PhD and postgraduate students and technical staff.

The Events and Communications Group advises the Coordinator and Events and Communications Assistant on IRC activities and communications strategies.

The EngBio Hub Working Group aims to scope the potential of a physical shared space for Engineering Biology in Cambridge.

Advisory Board
The Advisory board is tasked with advising the IRC Leadership Team and Steering Committee on all aspects of the programme, policy, activities and future directions of the IRC. In particular to assist the IRC in raising the institutional, national and international profile of Cambridge as a hub for engineering biology research.
