Training and Workshops

The IRC provides a range of training and workshops throughout the year. The majority of our training is open to all community members.

Biomaker & No-Code Programming for Biology

Biomaker provides funding for interdisciplinary team-based projects. Projects cover the areas of electronics, 3D printing, sensor technology, low cost DIY instrumentation and biology. The programme also includes workshops and outreach events.

Our "No-Code Programming for Biology" training helps people get started with coding and hardware. It teaches people to build simple DIY  prototypes for custom biological hardware. No prior experience required. Training is available via regular online sessions, video tutorials and as a self-taught course.
