Engineering Biology in Cambridge

Want to share the possibilities of cell-free biology or inspire the next generation of cell scientists? We’re looking for volunteers to help deliver two exciting events at the year’s Cambridge Festival.

Every year, the Cambridge Festival celebrates the pioneering research taking place at the University of Cambridge, as scientists and academics from across the university share their work with the public.

This year the Engineering Biology IRC will be working with SynBioSoc to run two events. Whether you are able to dedicate a whole day, or just a few hours we are looking for volunteers to help us deliver these events.

Cellular Machines

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March

Student Services Centre, New Museums Site

Drop in session for families and the general public. Looking at cells under the microscopes and making paper plate cells.

Building Diagnostics

Saturday 22 March

Department of Plant Sciences Teaching Labs

Hands-on workshop for teenagers and adults using cell-free biology.

How do I volunteer?

If you are interested in joining us for either of these events, please email coordinator@engbio.cam.ac.uk.
