About
I am a physicist with a broad academic background and international research experience across the UK and USA. My work spans condensed matter physics and Bose–Einstein condensates (University of Southampton), 2D materials (UC Berkeley), and solid-state spins and quantum photonics (Heriot-Watt University). I enjoy exploring how quantum systems behave in real-world materials and devices, and I’m always keen to connect across disciplines.
Research InterestsI explore how light interacts with matter at the nanoscale, combining optical spectroscopy with quantum photonics. My research focuses on quantum systems, from Bose–Einstein condensates in microcavities to atomic-scale defects in semiconductors like SiC and diamond, with applications in quantum communication, computing, and sensing.
After working in Southampton, Berkeley, and Edinburgh, I joined the University of Cambridge to dive into biophotonics. I’m currently investigating photosynthetic light-harvesting complexes on a chip, aiming to uncover quantum effects that could inspire new approaches to energy transfer and quantum technologies.
I’m especially interested in bridging physics, materials science, and biology, and I enjoy collaborating with researchers from different fields. If your work touches on light–matter interaction, quantum systems, or nanoscale materials, I would love to connect.
