I am a PhD Student with the Institute of Energy & Environmental Flows (IEEF). This brings together five departments including Chemistry, DAMPT, Earth Sciences, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. I am located within the group interested in colloidal dispersions. My research currently focuses on blood as a complex colloid.
We are investigating patterns of behaviour of blood at small lengthscales, with the aim of developing pre-diagnostic indicators for PoC / remote testing. The current project has received additional seed funding for work between Medical School and Technology School.
I am particularly motivated to work to encourage collaboration and cross-fertilisation of knowledge, tools and relationships in interdisciplinary areas.
