Cambridge Consultants join in supporting Cambridge-JIC iGEM Team to engineer chloroplasts

The Cambridge-JIC iGEM Team consists of ten undergraduates from Engineering and Natural Sciences working for 10 weeks this summer to engineer future synthetic biology tools and applications. Cambridge Consultants are one of the group of supporters helping them to deliver.

CERN launches survey to assess impact of open hardware as a knowledge transfer tool

The SynBio SRI has funded several projects working on open hardware for research and education. We are very interested in finding out more about the impact of openness on knowledge transfer and colleagues at CERN have recently announced a survey gathering data on just this point.

Bioluminescence exhibit featured on Design Exchange

Bernardo Pollak, Victoria Geaney and Anton Kan created the Lo Lamento exhibition as part of The E-Luminate Festival in February with funding from the SynBio Fund. The work features on art magazine Design Exchange this month with some beautiful photos and videos of the installation!
