Biography

Chris is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Group of Professor James Locke at the Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University, where he also undertook his PhD in Systems & Synthetic Biology (SynBio). He has also recently been elected a Research Associate of the Entrepreneurship Lab at King's College, Cambridge, where he explores translational aspects of his work.

As an active supporter of SynBio and entrepreneurship initiatives in Cambridge and beyond, he has previously served as President of the Cambridge University SynBio Society; on the Steering Committees of the EngBio IRC, SynBioUK and iGEM Startups; and on the Executive Team of Nucleate UK.

Research

Chris' research interests span from the fundamental to the translational, exploring both the core principles by which dynamic biological systems function, as well as their potential utility in engineering biology.
