Research
My interest in synthetic biology stems from its transformative potential to solve complex scientific challenges and address critical health issues. Throughout my academic career, I have sought opportunities to push the boundaries of what is possible in this field. Founding and leading my university’s iGEM teams allowed me to translate ambitious synthetic biology concepts into impactful solutions. From developing exosome-based siRNA therapies and engineering metabolic pathways in microalgae for biostimulant production, to advancing stem cell therapy for ischaemic stroke, these projects have sharpened my leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. I also raised over €55,000 in funding, forging collaborations with stakeholders to bring these ideas to life.
